Interpreta a Astor Piazzolla

The Rio de la Plata, the widest river in the world, the pride of the Porteños, the citizens of Buenos Aires. 180 kilometres of water relentlessly separating Buenos Aires and Montevideo, two cities that could have been one on the banks of a "normal" river. Indeed, there are no other Latin American capital cities that are so similar in history, culture and atmosphere as these parents of the tango that have fallen out.

Rioplatense is everything associated with this extraordinary river, rioplatense is the tango, rioplatense is our trio with the Aisembergs from the south bank and Diego from the north bank, and TRioplatense is our music.

By the way, I was born on the banks of the Danube, but don't tell anybody ...

Juan Lucas Aisemberg

We had already booked the studio before we had even played a single note together. It is not always easy to find musicians that one can feel at ease with and studio recordings are always the moment of truth. It was with this in mind that I teamed up with the Aisembergs.

After just one joint rehearsal, I was certain that I would take the risk and work with them. The finished recording confirmed that life without risks is not worthwhile.

Piazzolla composed this meeting, Juan Lucas organised it. I dedicate this CD to both of them.

Diego Zecharies

Although I have been involved in the music of Astor Piazzolla for a long time, each new project still has the attraction of a further adventure. And this has been no exception. It was exciting to play this wonderful music with two musicians still young, but very serious and sensitive.

I am very satisfied as I feel that this CD is different from the previous ones. One thing is clear: Art does not repeat itself. Everything depends on the artist and his feelings at the time.

I would again like to thank our friends at Oriente Music who have always made it possible for us to realize works that are part of our life.

Hugo Aisemberg
